Tips on navigating our campus during the renovation

We’re improving our animal adoption areas at the Nebraska Humane Society, so we have relocated some services during construction.  Here are some tips to help you navigate our campus.

Adoptions

Now located in the east Building at 8801 Fort Street (as you look at the campus it’s the building on the left side of the main building) in the Center for Humane Services –formerly Bone Jour. Pull into the parking lot and the entrance is on the far left side. Adoptable dogs, cats and critters are all housed in this building. The doors will not open until noon on weekdays for adoptions (a slight change in procedure) and at 10am on weekends.  We will stop taking applications an hour before closing time.

Pet Food Pantry

The Pet Food Pantry for pet owners in need will be moving to 8919 Fort Street, the building just in front of the main building (it looks like a bank building!) every Friday from 2pm-4pm starting June 7th, 2019. This building also houses our low cost spay and neuter center.

Pet Loss Support Group

Pet Loss Support Group will continue to meet every 1st Saturday of the month.  The location may change monthly, check our calendar of events page here for location and more details.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience, but we know it will be well worth it when the animals have new, low stress environments, and room to stretch!
