Pet Loss Support Group -November

Understanding the role that pets play in our lives and the hole they leave behind …

Pet Loss Support Group

Saturday, November 2, 2019 | 10:30 a.m. | Milton Abrahams Library 5111 N 90th Street

Need a little time to talk about your loss? NHS hosts a pet loss group that is free of charge and meets the first Saturday of every month at 10:30 a.m.  You can talk, or just listen … and know that others empathize.

Our group facilitator is Barbie Steinke, a clinical social worker, mental health therapist, and alcohol and drug counselor in the Omaha area who loves spending time with her 3-year-old goldendoodle named Winnie. She is donating her skills because she loves animals and understands the incredible role that pets play in our lives, and the subsequent hole they leave behind. She wants to help pet owners through this difficult time.

* Please Note: Due to renovations in our main building, this group will meet at 10:30 a.m. in the small conference room of the Milton R Abrahams Library at 5111 N. 90th Street. (It's just around the corner from the shelter.)
