programs and events

Not only do we work to place pets in loving homes, we also work with pet owners to keep animals in those homes. The goal is to enhance the relationship between people and their pets.

Our programs vary from the behavior help line and obedience classes for dogs and owners, to providing pet food for low income seniors.  We offer on-site and in-classroom educational opportunities for children and adults. 

Our reach into the community includes placing pets in nursing homes and arranging temporary safe housing for pets of domestic violence victims.  And our annual events like “Cause for Paws” and “Walk for the Animals” offer pet owners a chance to participate in activities that welcome their four legged friends.
