Fostering animals for the Nebraska Humane Society is a rich and rewarding experience.  All it takes is time, love, and lots of cuddling.
Animals require fostering because they are not quite ready for adoption for one reason or another.

Most of the time they are kittens or puppies that are not old enough and need to gain weight.  Kittens need to be 2 months old and at least 2lbs, and puppies must be at least 6-8 weeks old, before they are ready for adoption.

Adult animals will vary according to the situation (nursing, socialization, healing, etc.).

If you think you've got room in your heart and your home to become a foster parent, complete an application today!
