Dog's Best Friend and Mine too!

Dog's Best Friend and Mine too!
Dog's Best Friend and Mine too!

On April 1, 2011 my dog picked out a cat that quickly became a member of our family!

April 1, 2011 my dog, Charlie, and I went to PetSmart to pick out a fun toy to play with. While we were in the store Charlie walked into the "cat room," which was strange because she was always very afraid of cats. She walked right up to a cage that had a beautiful orange tabby cat and sniffed. The cat did not shy away at all and, in fact, stretched out a paw and touched Charlie's face tenderly. They had a few moments of checking each other out and I decided I would investigate what it would take to get this cat. I took Charlie home and returned to look at the cat for myself. I picked her up and she purred and curled her face into my neck. It was meant to be! Charlie and the cat, Sawyer, play and cuddle all of the time and are the best of friends. We are one happy family! Thank you Nebraska Humane Society and PetSmart for teaming up, so we could have the chance to be together.
