Lucy the Puppy Mill dog  They say there is nothing like rescuing a puppy mill dog and now I know that is so true. Lucy was a puppy mill rescue. I came to know her as a volunteer working with the rescues last March. She just stood in her kennel and shook with fear. Gradually I was able to hold her and then take her for a walk. She had never touched grass, heard the birds sing at the park or had kind human interaction. In this past nine months she has come a long way and watch her run, play and strut with her tail held high makes my heart sing! They say there is nothing like rescuing a puppy mill dog and now I know that is so true. |
