Our new kitty Smitty!

A few weeks ago my fiance and I were looking for a new cat...

We had been wanting one for awhile to play with our cat, Tiger, and our dog Ruggles. Since they both enjoy being outdoors and indoors, we knew we needed a cat that would also enjoy the same. My fiance didn't care what cat we brought home since I am more the cat lover, but the second I saw Smitty in his little glass case I wanted him! He's a beautiful reddish blonde cat with the sweetest face. We were told he had only been at NHS for a couple of days.We wanted to keep his name because we assumed since he was 11 months old that he was probably accustomed to the name. I put my hand to the glass and he tried rubbing his face against it. I had to have this cat! So, we waited a bit to get acquainted with Smitty and when we did, within 5 minutues,we knew we were going to be taking him home.
At first, he really didnt like being bothered by our dog but they quickly warmed up to each other after a few days. Smitty likes to follow me wherever I go, sleep at my feet, nap next to me on the weekends, and he loves being outdoors with our other cat but not for too long. I even find that when I need to get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, as I am pregnant, you can hear him jump off our cat playground and run into the bathroom behind me. He is such a sweetheart and I am so glad to have him in our family!
