Sweet Pea

We adopted Sweet Pea October 19th at Adopt-a-palooza event.

Sweet Pea is the sweetest little dog. She's still a little timid and shy, but does come out of her shell especially when someone comes to the door, she'll start barking. Sometimes she thinks she's a big dog in a little body. Today, while on our walk she tried chasing a squirrel, which surprised me. She hates walking in the grass, so I have to pick her up and put her down so she learns where to go potty. I had my daughter's dogs come over and mark the yard so she would smell their scent and then mark hers on theirs. It worked!
Most of the time she is a couch potato, but she does love going to the dog park in Bellevue, NE. She made friends with my daughter's pugs. She tolerates my cat who doesn't know what to make of her yet.
Sometimes, in order to get her to eat, I put her food on a spoon and feed her that way, since she had most of her teeth pulled.
I'm glad that we adopted a senior dog, she is 10 years young, and that she can live out her golden years with us. She doesn't like being alone and follows us all over the house. We have 2 dog beds for her, plus our own that she sleeps on. When I'm at work, she sleeps on the one in the computer room to watch my hubby on the computer.
We took her to the vet and he says she is doing good and healing nicely from her being spayed.
We really love her and glad that she is a part of our family.
