Tommy is wonderful!  He is the sweetest, smartest, happiest boy. I just wanted to give an update on Tommy, the 3-year old male Whippet mix I adopted from NHS on Thursday, February 27. He has come out of his shell and is the sweetest, smartest, happiest boy! He crates beautifully (but managed to get out while I was at work yesterday, so reinforcements are needed!). I took him to work with me for the afternoon, and everyone just loves him. He settled down after about 15 minutes, and at one point, he put his chin on my shoulder and just stayed like that for about 2 minutes. I hugged him and cried, knowing that this was his way of thanking me for giving him a chance. Tommy and my 2 cats are slowly getting used to each other, and have already made excellent progress in less than 48 hours. Tommy is eager to please, very potty trained, loves to run in the yard, and play fetch, and is just the best boy! Thank you NHS! |
