Thriving in my new home!  Jesse loves to play and tussle with her new sibling, Jake We recently lost our Golden Retriever, Yeller, to cancer. While my husband and I wanted to wait, our 12-year-old Black Lab/Newfoundland was moping around, not eating and definitely sad. Jake had always wanted someone to play, and Jesse fits that to a T! We have for the last 11+ years and continue to support the good works of the Humane Society. Jesse and Jake appreciate living in the country and being able to "hunt" on our twice-daily walks. Jesse is learning the ropes (and boundaries to her new country home) quickly and with so much energy. While we continue to mourn the loss of a really good dog and family member, I know this was a good decision for us all. Thanks to everyone at the NEHS for your patience and help. |
