A 3 year old's best friend Never believed that the pet picks the owner until I saw my 3 year old with our new cat Pumpkin My daughter started kindergarten this year and so my son has been at home with me during the day. He will get so lonely and our current cat does not care for all the energy that a 3 year old has to offer. So I took my son to Nebraska Humane Society in search of a new four-legged friend. When walking through, none of the cats were really catching his eye until we got to the cat alley. We where greated by a very fluffy orange kitty but there was meowing off in a corner. My son went around the corner to find out where that meowing was coming from and there sat the prettiest Tortie just meowing away. When my son got closer to her, she moved right up to him for her to pet him. I just had this feeling she was the one for him. When we went into a room to get a little more private with this kitty, that's when I knew for sure she was it. When the volunteer brought her in, she went right up to my son and rubbed all over him and he would pick her up and she would take it with no scratching or biting. We have now had her home for a few days and she is the most easy-going cat. She had no problems with our current resident and loves to play with my son. Thank you so much Nebraska Humane Society for finding my son his furever friend! |
