First-time cat owner finds joy in new pet

I always thought of myself as a dog person, but working with many people who have unmeasurable feline love helped me better understand cats and gave me the push I needed to rescue one. When I went to the Nebraska Humane Society, I wanted a brand new kitten and almost went home because none were available at the time. Bea was the last kitty I saw and I was later surprised to learn that she is still a kitten as 16 weeks. The more time I spent with her and with the help of the adoption counselor, Vicki, I decided that she was the one for me. Bea connected with me and to her new home right away. She is very talkative and loves to explore, play, and cuddle. Now I couldn't imagine being without this smart, sweet little girl.
