Who teaches the sessions? We hire certified classroom teachers along with high school counselors.
Can my child be signed up with a friend? Can we switch sessions? Please remember applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. We cannot hold any spots for potential campers. The best way to ensure both your child and the friend attend the same camp is to register at the same time. We apologize that we cannot switch camp sessions once registration has been officially processed. Cancellations will be charged a $10.00 processing fee.
Will the campers get to play with the animals? Each day of camp includes supervised animal interaction as curriculum allows.
What time should my child arrive? Please arrive approximately 10 minutes early, especially the first day so you and your camper can meet the teacher. Morning senior campers should be dropped off on the west end of our main building (follow the signage) and afternoon junior campers should meet in the lobby area prior to the start of camp.
What time should I arrive to pick up my child? Since our first priority is your child’s safety, all campers MUST BE PICKED UP immediately after camp concludes each day. Campers will NOT be permitted to wait outside. Please be prompt. If you are late, a strict penalty of $1.00 per minute after 5 minutes will be imposed.
What if my child misses a class? Please let us know if your child will miss any class. Refunds cannot be made for missed classes.
May parents sit in and watch the campers? Parents are asked not to accompany their child to camp as it is often disruptive to the other students. If you have concerns or questions about camp, you are welcome to speak to the teachers.
My child attended Camp Kindness last summer, will it be different this year? Yes! The core curriculum remains the same, but new features, speakers, games, crafts and animals are also offered to keep camps fresh and exciting! We find that over one-third of our campers are “repeat campers” because they enjoy coming to camp every year!
