Private Cremation:
Cremation hastens the natural process of returning the body to its original elements.
Rainbow Bridge offers private cremations. This means that one pet at a time is cremated in our private crematorium. Each pet is hand placed into the crematorium. Once cremation is complete the ash is hand collected and placed in a container of your choice. Because of this you are assured that the ashes you receive are indeed those of your beloved friend.
We perform private cremations on a daily basis and cremate in order of arrival. Our cremation turnaround is generally three to seven business days.
You can retrieve your pet's ashes in person at Rainbow Bridge, or retrieve the ashes at your veterinary hospital.

How to Use Us:
Many people don't know this, but you have a choice of where your pet is cremated. Not all crematories are the same and we encourage you to look into your options. Rainbow Bridge strives to always exceed your expectations and offer you the same quality of service that we would expect for our own beloved companions.
- You may bring your animal in person to our facility at the Nebraska Humane Society.
- No appointment is necessary; you may come in anytime during business hours, which are: Monday- Friday 8am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am-5pm. We are located on the Nebraska Humane Society Campus at 8929 Fort Street, Omaha.
- We also work with most veterinary clinics in Omaha, Council Bluffs and the surrounding area. You can talk directly with your veterinarian and his or her staff about your aftercare arrangements. If you choose Rainbow Bridge, after your pet is euthanized your veterinarian can contact us to arrange transportation of your pet to us for Rainbow Bridge Cremation.
- You can then retrieve your pet's ashes in person at Rainbow Bridge, or retrieve the ashes at your veterinary hospital.

Grief Support:
Losing a long time companion leaves a void that can be overwhelming. If you are in need of some extra support we offer a Pet Loss Support Group at 10am on the first Saturday morning of every month. The group meets in the Library at the Nebraska Humane Society. The program is run by Theresa Freeman, a Grief Specialist with Integrative Counseling. Theresa donates her time, so the hour long session is free of charge. For more information click here.

Dependant on the amount of ash, the appropriate size is used.
The ashes are placed inside of a plastic liner and then placed inside the pouch.
This pouch is popular for clients that would like to scatter or bury the ashes.

Wooden Chest with Cremation: $145.00 + tax ($155.15)

The wooden chests are available in various sizes.
No two chests are alike , they all have beautiful grains and highlights.
Dependant on the amount of ash, the appropriate size is used.
The ashes are placed inside of a plastic liner and then placed inside the chest.
An engraved brass name plate may be added to the chest for an additional 12.00.

 Our Photo Tower Urns are designed for the pet owner who wishes to display their favorite "vertical" photograph. Made of solid Walnut, the Photo Tower urn is a high quality urn worthy of your pet's memory. Available in small, medium and large size depending on the size of your pet.
The photo-holder is attached magnetically and is easy to pop-off, slide in your favorite photograph, and re-attach to the urn. We use the magnet to allow slight adjustments in the positioning of the photo-holder to better fit your visual preferences.

Clay Paws
The Nebraska Humane Society is proud to offer a special product for Rainbow Bridge clients, ClayPaws!

ClayPaws are a special keepsake to help Rainbow Bridge clients
remember their pets. Like a child's handprint, a ClayPaw reveals the
unique lines and markings of a pet's paw --- sometimes complete with
fur and a bit of dirt from the garden! A ClayPaw preserves the
memories of special times shared with a pet.
Rainbow Bridge will
create the paw-impression in the polymer clay and bake the paw imprint.
The finished ClayPaw product will then be returned with the pet’s
ashes. A ribbon is also attached to hang the ClayPaw, if desired.
Cost for the ClayPaw is $15.00 + tax ($16.05).
We at

that has passed away, and feel it will bring you a great deal of
comfort with this difficult process.
