A1501084 CAT Hello, my name is Elliot and I am a big handsome boy. I am not only beautiful, but I have a personality to match! I would love to be someone's cuddly buddy, as I am a very affectionate cat. I am a love bug with a big purr and would love to keep someone company most of the day. I am seeking a special home, because I tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). I have an increased risk of developing immunosuppression because of the FIV.
The good news is that most cats with FIV have completely normal long lives as long as they are kept away from things that can make them sick. The more often I get sick, the less my body will be able to fight off infection. This means that I should be an indoor cat only! This disease is contagious between cats, so I am looking for a home as the only cat in the home or a home with another FIV cat.
I have a medication for my allergies. I also require a special diet, because I am allergic to a protein commonly found in chicken protein based foods. You will need to work with your veterinarian to keep me healthy and I meet my diet accommodations. If you are willing to give me the extra care I need, I will fill your days with love and attention.
