Who knew that the healing we all needed would arrive in a small 20 pound package!

We lost our beloved Boston Terrier, Buddy - our protector and "best friend forever". We were all grieving - and still are. But, the biggest impact was on our 12 yo German Shorthair, Ginger. She was so sad and seemed to just stop. We had to do something. So, we made the trip to the NE Humane Society to see if we could find her a companion. Juanita was there to help us through. It wasn't easy. But, our hearts settled on a 20 pound Rat Terrier mix that seemed to know that we needed something special & he was ready for the challenge. And he was right! His name used to be "Phantom" & we quickly changed it to Rudy. He has brought joy into our home again & has brightened up the dark days for Ginger. They sleep touching each other & Ginger has taken to cleaning his face - just like she did for Buddy. Nothing can replace our beloved Boston Terrier, but Rudy sure has made the holes in our hearts feel better. He is awesome!
