Gandolf the Gray is a girl!?

It was a trick I tell you!

Last year, we lost our kitty of 14 years, and more than once this year, I have been quoted as calling him the perfect cat. It seemed I would never find another who would win me over. All my life I have had male cats, and never attached to a female cat. Never wanted to. A stroll through NHS changed this, picking cats by appearance and name in order to meet them. There was a sweet little gray boy snuggled up by the name of Gandolf. Gandolf made my top 3 list, even though he was older than what I was originally looking for. The kitty completely won my heart, until I thought nothing of the others on my list. Then the handler told me: Gandolf was a girl kitty. I gave her a sideways glance, she mewled at me and I paid her adoption fees. Gandolf is now named Cassandra, or Cass for short. She loves her new home, plays on her huge cat tree, comes to a whistle and wakes me in the morning with headbutts for the sheer pleasure of my undivided attention. Thank you NHS. SHE has a forever home.
