Some animals had severe untreated medical conditions.

Ten battered little dogs are now tucked into kennels at the Nebraska Humane Society after a stunning rescue from a severe neglect case in Ohio.
On May 26th, the ASPCA removed more than 90 dogs from a trailer in Shadyside Ohio. When investigators arrived on scene, they found the animals living in a single-wide dilapidated trailer. Many were confined to a dark room with no access to fresh air, food, or water. The dogs were exposed to dangerous levels of ammonia, and deceased dogs were also found on scene. Some animals had severe untreated medical conditions, including puncture wounds, scarring and painful eye conditions, and several puppies and dogs needed emergency transport to receive critical care.
After two months in a temporary shelter under ASPCA care, the dogs are now stable enough to travel and ready for the next step: adoption and a second chance. The ASPCA reached out to several shelters, including NHS, to take in these deserving dogs and find them homes.
We are letting these ten little troopers settle in. Quiet music, soft blankets, yummy treats and gentle cuddling will accompany medical care and behavior support as we work to find them families who will love and value them. It may take some time for them to come out of their shells, but it will be worth it.
You help makes it possible for us to work with deserving pets like Cravitz and Barktholomew.
