Since our founding in 1875, homeless animals served by the Nebraska Humane Society have benefited greatly from the generosity of friends in our community who have remembered the animals through a will or estate gift. Many of these donors have had a long history of giving during their lifetime and have informed NHS that they have included us in their estate planning.
The Paws Forever Legacy Society is a way to thank those individuals who believe in our mission to care for abandoned and neglected animals and who have chosen to take care of them in their estate planning. For detailed information about including NHS in your estate planning, click here »
If you choose to include the animals in your estate plans, we hope that you will consider joining our Paws Forever Legacy Society. We ask you to fill out the Paws Forever Legacy Society membership form with as much information as you feel comfortable sharing. We also ask each member of Paws Forever to allow us to list their name (unless you wish to remain anonymous) in our Annual Report to both acknowledge support of the animals and set an example to other individuals in our community who share your compassion for animals. Acknowledging your commitment will inspire others to become members.
Additionally, you will be invited to our annual donor recognition event and be eligible to participate in our special Paws for Life program, a way to provide lifetime care for your pets if you become unable to care for them.
The Nebraska Humane Society would like to thank you for planning to help the future of the neglected and abandoned animals in our community. Your legacy will allow us to save lives for many years to come.
