You’re invited to join the team! Currently, over 350 volunteers are involved in programs at the Lied Humane Center. It’s fun, it’s rewarding and it’s easy.
If this sounds like something you want to do then:
So lend a paw and become a Nebraska Humane Society volunteer -- you can schedule your hours whenever it’s most convenient for you.
* A Couple of Notes: Due to the number of high school students who wish to volunteer we ask each to write and attach a short essay on why they’d like to volunteer at the Shelter and what they hope to gain from the experience. Students will receive a call from our coordinator when they are accepted into the program. Student applications must be submitted at least ONE MONTH prior to the orientation.
Also, because of liability issues the Nebraska Humane Society does not have a program for Court Ordered Diversion.
