ACOs rescue a raccoon stuck on the Dodge Expressway

Raccoon Rescued From Dodge Expressway

Tuesday, October 4, 2016 | NHS Animal Control

On Monday, October 3rd, NHS Animal Control Officers rescued a terrified raccoon that was stuck on a concrete barrier on the Dodge Expressway. Without help the raccoon’s odds of surviving were limited.

After being rescued, the raccoon was thankful to be out of harms way and enjoyed the quiet of the ACO van where he rested comfortably and was brought back to NHS. He's now with our friends at Nebraska Wildlife Rehab to ensure he is ok before returning to the wild.
