Humane Hands

The Humane Hands Club is for 13- to 16-year-olds who want to learn about different areas and issues within the Nebraska Humane Society. Members will participate in a variety of hands-on activities at the shelter.

Details

  • Cost is $180 per participant
  • Each attendee will receive a Humane Hands t-shirt
  • All activities will be facilitated by a humane educator and animal program coordinator
  • Attendees will have a chance to become a camp counselor for our summer and winter camps

Humane Hands Dates and Times

Humane Hands takes place the second Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Please Note

Please understand that we are implementing more hands on activities so it is important that your child be able to FULLY participate in each activity. We will note have alternative activities planned for each session. Your child must be between the ages of 13-16 to participate. Once your child is registered there will be no refunds for cancellations.

All participants should wear closed-toe shoes, bring a water bottle and a sweatshirt or jacket as our facility is cool. Please drop off your child no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the start time of each session. For safety reasons, all participants must be picked up immediately after each session concludes. Late pick-ups will be charged a fee of $1.00 per minute after 5 minutes. Thank you for your cooperation.
